What sets the price
- The aircraft. Light jets suit short hops. Heavy jets carry more people further and cost more.
- Distance and flight time. Longer flights burn more fuel and cost more to operate.
- Passengers. The head count decides the size of aircraft you need.
- Airports. Some airports and private terminals charge higher fees. A nearby alternative can cost less.
- Timing. Weekends, peak season and last-minute requests push prices up.
- Extras. Catering, ground transport and special requests are added to the base price.

What else is on the invoice

Safety
A charter flight must be flown by an operator holding an Air Operator Certificate (AOC). Ask to see it. A private owner renting out an aircraft without one is flying an illegal charter, and the insurance may not cover you. Check what the insurance covers before you fly.
